    Park a reservation on the Booking Chart in RMS.

    Park Reservation is a feature available on the Booking Chart to enable moving Areas to maximise occupancy when Area availability is limited.

    Information

    Park Reservation is a feature available on the Booking Chart to enable moving Areas to maximise occupancy when Area availability is limited.

    Moving a reservation on the Booking Chart to close availability gaps can provide greater opportunities for new multi-night reservations.

    Park Reservation is a short term move for a reservation to enable moving a different reservation into that Area on the Booking Chart.

    Parked Reservations are displayed in the 'Parked Reservations' row on the Booking Chart until they are un-parked and allocated to an Area.

    Reservations can be un-parked into the previously allocated Area or a new Area.



    Parking a Reservation does not release the Area inventory for sale to connected online channels.

    Category, Area and Reservation are default System Labels that can be customised.


    Users will require Security Profile access to use this feature.

    Use

    1. Go to Charts > Booking Chart in RMS.
    2. Navigate to the Date.
    3. Right Click a Reservation and select 'Park Reservation'.
    4. Select 'Yes' to confirm.



    Right click a Parked Reservation and select 'Unpark' to move the reservation back onto the Booking Chart.



    The Parked Reservation will create space to move reservations on the Booking Chart and maximise occupancy opportunities.

    Parking a Reservation does not release the Area inventory for sale to connected online channels.

    Parked Reservation cannot be used for Reservations in Interconnecting Areas.

    Right Click a Reservation and select 'Park Reservation'.

    Select 'Yes' to confirm.

    The Reservation will be displayed in the 'Parked Reservation' row on the Booking Chart and can be un-parked into the previously allocated Area or a new Area.

    The Parked Reservation will create space to move reservations on the Booking Chart and maximise occupancy opportunities.

    Right Click the Parked Reservation and select 'Unpark' and choose the Area to move the reservation back onto the Booking Chart.
