Book by Category enables creating a reservation without assigning an Area.
Reservations created without an Area assigned will need to be allocated an Area before being checked-in.
An Area can be assigned to these reservations using the Area Allocation utility or In/Out Movements.
The Group Reservation Grid can be used to create Group Reservations for any Category setup as Book by Category.
Category and Area are default System Labels that can be customised.
Reservations without an Area assigned will not display on the Booking Chart until an Area is allocated.
Users will require Security Profile access to use this feature.

Have your System Administrator complete the following.
- Go to Setup > Category/Area in RMS.
- Select the
'Edit' icon on an existing Category. - Navigate to the 'Category Details' tab.
- Select the checkbox 'Use Book by Category'.

Optional: Select the checkbox 'Allow Overbooking'.
- Enter the Number of Areas to Overbook by.
- Save/Exit.
