    Rate Lookup

    Setup a Rate Lookup in RMS.

    Steps Required

    Have your System Administrator complete the following.

    1. Go to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.
    2. Select 'Rates'.
    3. Select 'Rate Lookup'.
    4. Select 'Add'.
    5. Select the Rate Structure.
    6. Select a Rate Type.
    7. Select a Category.
    8. Select the Rate Table.
    9. Select the Rate Period.
    10. Save/Next.
    11. Repeat Steps 6-10 for all combinations.
    12. Save/Exit.

    The Rate Lookup is the linking component that RMS uses to know which combination of Rate Type and Rate Table to use during any Rate Period. 

    Without a Rate Lookup each Rate Type, Rate Period and Rate Table will be disconnected and not available for use on reservations.

    Only Rate Types and Rate Tables with a matching Rate Structure can be connected in a Rate Lookup.

    Use the 'Hold Selection' option to retain the selection made on Save/Next for quicker Rate Lookup setup.

    Setup a Rate Type, Rate Table and Rate Period to make a Rate Type available for selection on a reservation or use the New Rate Wizard for guided rate setup in RMS.

    Visual Guide

    Go to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.

    Select 'Rates'.

    Select 'Rate Lookup'.

    Select 'Add'.

    Select the Rate Structure.

    Select a Rate Type.

    Select a Category.

    Select the Rate Table.

    Select the Rate Period.

    Select 'Save/Next' to store the changes made.

    Repeat Steps 6-10 for all combinations.

    Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made.

    The selected Rate Type will now be available for reservations during dates for the selected Rate Period.
