    Setup the connection to Siteminder HTNG in RMS.

    Siteminder is a channel manager and booking engine provider with a global distribution network.

    Use Source Travel Agent will match the origin Travel Agent with a Travel Agent record in RMS. If no matching Travel Agent is found a new one will be created.

    Hide from Guest Portal will prevent the guest managing this reservation when logged into the Guest Portal including Pre Check-in & Guest Declaration, and Digital Check-in.

    Property's using the Siteminder Booking Engine and accepting deposit payments at the time of booking can use the 'Allow Deposits' option to have the Receipt applied to the account in RMS with the reservation delivery.

    * Siteminder uses Category Occupancy. When there is a variation in availability for each Rate Type on a mapped Category Siteminder will use the lowest availability number.

    * Oversell Allotments must be set on all Category & Rate Type combinations mapped to Siteminder to be used by Siteminder.

    Category, Area & Rate are default System Labels that can be customised.

    The RMS Online module is required to connect to Siteminder HTNG.



    System Administrators will require Security Profile access to use this feature.

    Setup

    Have your System Administrator complete the following.

    1. Notify Siteminder of the Property's intention to connect.
    2. Go to Setup > Online Bookings > Channel Management in RMS.
    3. Select the 'View' as 'Unconnected'.
    4. Select 'Siteminder HTNG' and choose 'Connect'.
    5. Navigate to the 'Connection Information' tab.
    6. Enter the Property's RMS Client ID as the Hotel Code.
    7. Enter the Property's Regional Chain Code.
    8. Select an Availability Option.
    9. Optional: Select a Colour.
    10. Optional: Select a Market Segment.
    11. Optional: Select a Booking Source.
    12. Optional: Select the checkbox 'Use Source Travel Agent'.
    13. Optional: Select the checkbox 'Hide from Guest Portal'.
    14. Optional: Select the checkbox 'Allow Deposits'.
    15. Select the 'Add Category/Rate Types' button.
    16. Enter the Siteminder Category & Rate Type Codes as shown on the Siteminder Correlation Table.
    17. Save/Exit.
    18. Select the RMS Category & Rate Type for each combination.
    19. Save/Exit.



    The Property's Regional Chain Code is determined by the property location of either APAC (Asia Pacific) or EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa).

    Use Source Travel Agent will match the origin Travel Agent with a Travel Agent record in RMS. If no matching Travel Agent is found a new one will be created.

    Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made and return to the Channel Connection setup.

    Select the RMS Category & Rate Type for each combination.

    Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made and leave the Channel Connection setup.

    Rates and availability will begin syncing with Siteminder using the mapping combinations selected.
