System Labels determine the core terminology displayed in RMS and can be customised to suit individual customer requirements.

System Labels determine the core terminology displayed in RMS and can be customised to suit individual customer requirements.
The 'OTA Reference' fields are read only fields used by certain connected online channels.
The below table includes key default System Labels and their common variations.
Default System Label | Customer Variations |
---|---|
Category | Room Type, Site Type, Property |
Area | Room, Site, Cabin, House, Dock |
Rate | Tariff, Rent, Fee |
Maintenance | Out of Order |
Guest | Client, Student, Tenant |
The RMS Help Centre will always reference the default System Labels.

Setup
Have your System Administrator complete the following.
- Go to Setup > Property Options > Labels in RMS.
- Navigate to the 'System' tab.
- Select a Default System Label.
- Enter the Custom Label.
- Save/Exit.
- Log out of RMS.
The RMS Help Centre will always reference the default System Labels.

Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made.
Log out of RMS to allow the database to update with the changes made.
The label changes made will be reflected the next time users log into RMS anywhere the system label is used.
