    Rate Table: Deposit

    Setup a Deposit on a Rate Table in RMS.

    Steps Required

    Have your System Administrator complete the following.

    1. Go to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.
    2. Select 'Rates'.
    3. Select 'Rate Tables'.
    4. Select an existing Rate Table and choose 'Edit'.
    5. Navigate to the 'Deposits' tab.
    6. Select and enter When to Activate.
    7. Select and enter the Amount to Charge.
    8. Select and enter When to Pay.
    9. Save/Exit.

    Info

    Deposits can be used to obtain payment prior to a guests arrival to secure their reservation.

    Deposits set on the Rate Table will override any set on the Rate Type.

    The Deposit amount set will be applied to newly created reservations using a Rate Type linked with this Rate Table in the Rate Lookup.

    Visual Guide

    Go to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.

    Select 'Rates'.

    Select 'Rate Tables'.

    Select an existing Rate Table and choose 'Edit'.

    Navigate to the 'Deposits' tab.

    Select and enter When to Activate.

    Select and enter the Amount to Charge.

    Select and enter When to Pay.

    Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made.

    The Deposit amount set will be applied to newly created reservations using a Rate Type linked with this Rate Table in the Rate Lookup.
